Keynote: Pilgrim or Tourist – Ministry or Performance: Walking With Talent by Faith

This two-part Keynote will be offered by Fr. Christopher Robinson, C.M. For more information about our presenter, please click the dropdown below.

Fr. Christopher Robinson, C.M. is a member of the Congregation of the Mission – Western Province. In 1984, while living in the Saint Thomas Projects in New Orleans, Fr. Chris celebrated final vows as a Vincentian and went on to ordination to the priesthood in 1989. His academic and pastoral background are eclectic. Fr. Chris has a B.A. in Philosophy from Saint Mary of the Barrens College Seminary with a concentration in Existentialism, an M.Div. from Saint Thomas Theological Seminary in Denver, an M.R.E. in Religious Education from Loyola University in Chicago, an M.A. in Systematic Theology from the Katholieke Universiteit, Leuven and an S.T.L from KU Leuven. He has served as a parochial vicar in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, vocation director, and pastor of Saint Vincent de Paul Parish in Chicago. Most of his pastoral career has been a full-time Instructor of Religious Studies at DePaul University in Chicago since 2001, focusing on the intersection between religions and popular culture, as well as the origins or extremism in the Abrahamic religions. Fr. Chris has led groups to Taizé, France, led Vincentian Heritage Tours to Paris, France, and is a supply priest at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Chicago. He has walked the pilgrimage of the Camino de Santiago in Spain four times. Through it all, Fr. Chris has been part of parish choirs from childhood and continues to be thankful for the ways in which liturgical music and life have shaped his life.
