The National Association of Pastoral Musicians and Liturgy Training Publications have partnered to offer The Essentials of Catholic Liturgy—a foundational course perfect for music directors and music ministers.
The Basics of Liturgy is designed for those new to Roman Catholic liturgy and is ideal for musicians who have never formally studied the liturgy. In this introductory session, participants will explore the structure of the Mass, the liturgical calendar, sacramental celebrations, and popular devotions of the Church that will help them carry out their role as a pastoral musician.
Our dynamic presenters include Vicki Klima, author of Participation of the Heart: Deeper Engagement in the Mass (GIA, 2022), and Michael Ruzicki, co-author of Signs and Symbols of the Liturgy (LTP, 2018).
