Welcome to the Campus Ministry Section of NPM!

This section is composed of campus ministers from around the country who share their talents with faith communities in college and university academic settings.  We are facilitators of communal sung prayer and find ourselves in privileged positions in mentoring young people not only to serve on our campuses, but to go forth and enrich the future Church as leaders and faithful ministers themselves.  Some of us have been called to full-time ministry, others serve on a part-time or volunteer basis; whichever the case may be, the responsibilities are much the same – guiding young people to pray with one voice, and to lead one another as members of the wider Church.

The pastoral sensitivity needed to care for young members of the faith can be a challenge, thus you may find yourself in need of care at times.  Through the connections made as NPM Campus Ministry Section members we can share the joys and sorrows of campus life, as well as ideas, strategies, and insights.  Whether you have been serving for years or are a neophyte to campus ministry the members of this section are here to support one another.

Please join us on Facebook at the NPM Campus Ministry Section. This social media tool should facilitate quick response or comment on whatever you need to ask or want to share.

As we answer the call to use the gift of music to serve wider Church in the capacity of Campus Ministry may we find the Spirit guiding us with discipline, enthusiasm and wisdom.

May the words of Blessed John Henry Newman speak to your heart and inspire your ministry.

Dear Jesus,
Flood my soul with Thy spirit and life.
Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly
that all my life may only be a radiance of Thine.

Stay with me,
and then I shall begin to shine as Thou shinest,
so to shine as to be a light to others;

Let me preach Thee without preaching,
not by words but by my example,
by the catching force of the sympathetic influence
of what I do,
the evident fullness of the love my heart bears
to Thee.
