The musical settings of liturgical texts in The Roman Missal were prepared by the International Committee on English in the Liturgy (ICEL).  The only exceptions for the United States are the Christmas Proclamation and the setting of the Our Father by Robert Snow, which will appear in the U.S. edition of the Missal as the primary version along with the ICEL settings.  ICEL has prepared an introduction to the music of the Missal that explains the principles that were used in preparing these settings. 

NPM has produced a set of three CD recordings of selected chants from the Missal.  These recordings are offered to help priests, deacons, music ministers, and others to sing the Mass by learning and preparing these chants even if they do not have access to a computer or MP3 player.  For information on the contents and pricing, download a printable order form or order online now.

Many of the recordings found on these pages were prepared under the direction of Father Anthony Ruff, OSB.  The singers you will hear include Ms. Verena Anders, Mr. C. J. Capen, Ms. Barbara Ilacqua, Ms. Trudy Maher, Mr. David Mathers, and Mr. Thomas Stehle.  Technical directors were Mr. Peter Maher and Mr. Thomas Buckley.  The staff of the ICEL Secretariat has been extraordinarily helpful and supportive in making this project possible, including Msgr. Andrew Wadsworth, Msgr. Bruce Harbert, Mr. Peter Finn, and Dr. Jason McFarland.  Thanks to Saint John Neumann Parish in Reston, Virginia, where the recordings were made.
